Honoring Myrella Rico
Today, we gather to celebrate the life of Myrella Rico, a devoted wife and mother whose strength and resilience left a lasting impact. Since 2014, Myrella bravely battled cancer , achieving remission in 2015 before facing another challenge when her husband, Edgar, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2016. Despite these hardships, their unwavering optimism and love for life
inspired everyone around them. Tragically, due to treatment-related complications, Myrella developed stage 4 sarcoma, which ultimately took her life.
In her memory, we are hosting this tournament to honor her legacy and the love she shared. Our goal is to raise awareness about cancer and its profound impact.
Let’s remember Myrella not only for her courage but for the love
and inspiration
she brought into our lives. Together, we can make a difference.
